Change a setting, press Apply, and
compare the computed reading against what your chart shows for the same
minute. When they match, those are your settings — write them into
GATE_SPEC.md and item 3b is closed by measurement.
Defaults were MEASURED off the TradeStation chart on 2026-09-06 — 5 min bars, CCI 14, CCI avg 9, RSI 14, MA 20. Verified 2026-09-15 on closed bars (Sep 10, 11, 14; SPY and QQQ): “Mov Avg 1 Line” is a SIMPLE average, the CCI average type is SMA, gates 3–5 match exactly and RSI is within ±0.01. Changing any setting brings the UNVERIFIED marks back until it is checked against the chart again.
Shelves — record only · gate 8b removed 2026-09-15
Gate 8b was removed by Dan's ruling on 2026-09-15. From that session on, gate 8 checks only the distance from the session high (CALL) or low (PUT) — at least $1.00. Nothing is typed in by hand. Sessions before that date are still scored with the shelf rule that applied then. The levels below are kept as a record; nothing is deleted.
